Kastaplast NK Discgolf 2020

Dear discgolfer. On this page you can find all the necessary information about the Kastaplast Dutch National Championships. You might not be Dutch, but that should not withhold you from coming to Heerenveen and play along. The event will be held on 30 and 31 october, and 1st of november. Every participant plays at least 54 holes, divided in two rounds of 18 holes on saturday and another round of 18 holes on sunday. There’s also a challenging 9-hole layout created for the final 9 holes. These will be played on sunday in the afternoon.

Prizes
Because the event is a championships. There will be no pay-out. This is to keep the registration fees low. There will be prizes for the event winners, but not in terms of cash money. Participants who own a Dutch citizenship for at least 2 years, or who are living in the Netherlands for at least 2 years, are able to win the Dutch National titles. Other participants are playing for the event win in their category.

Location and course
The event will be played on Heerenveen Disc Golf Course, which is a challenging and half-wooded 18 holes course. The course has artificial grass-teepads and owns Latitude Elite Pro baskets. There’s a headquarters from where the event will be hosted. This headquarters has a dressing- and shower room, as well as a bar and canteen. Also there will be discs sold on this place, and there is a rugbyfield right in front of the headquarters to practise your driving and putting skills. There will be toilet facilities on the course.

Event
On friday, an informal 18-holes practice round doubles will be organized in the afternoon, as well as a distance competition in the evening. This distance competition will also be the Dutch National Distance championships. Distances will be measured by EDM, which is a very accurate measuring system, used in track and field to measure distances for e.g. Javelin throw and Hammer throw.

Saturday marks the start of the Kastaplast discgolf championships. In the morning the first 18 holes will be played based on shotgun start. There’s an option to get lunch for €2,- in between rounds. In the afternoon the second round of 18-holes golf starts. On saturday evening Tyyni-TD Dean Schaub hosts a putting event. This event will crown the Dutch putting champion, but is also open for participation for foreigners.

On sunday morning the third round of 18 holes starts. After this round, there is again an option to get lunch for €2,- in between this round and the final 9 holes. After the final 9, the prize ceremony will directly take place.
